Designing Essay Questions and Grading Criteria

Students often have little experience writing essays and often fail to understand instructors' expectations. This discussion aims to help instructors design explicit essay questions which will parallel grading criteria, making the grading process more objective and enabling students to understand their strengths and weaknesses in essay writing.
