Classroom to Publication
Transforming Classroom Experiences into Scholarship of Teaching

According to the Faculty Handbook, the scholarship of teaching is a legitimate category of scholarship that can count towards a faculty member's promotion and tenure. The key is making sure that this work is peer-reviewed and either published or presented at a conference.

In this brown-bag discussion, Dr. Nicole Greene and Dr. Bruce Danner will tell how they used their classes to gather the data for scholarly publications. Though both of them teach in the English Department, their tips and insights are pertinent to all faculty, in all disciplines, who wish to undertake a scholarship of teaching project.
