Facilitating Class Discussions

When used well, class discussion can be a great way to engage students in course material. This workshop will explore ways to make these discussions more effective and meaningful. We will provide tips for getting discussions started, facilitating them once they are going, and keeping them on task. This workshop is for those who use discussions regularly as well as those who are just trying it out.
