Atwitter About Twitter
Next Big Thing or Dumbest Thing Ever?

Digital luminaries are atwitter about a free social networking and micro-blogging service called Twitter. But some scoffers decry this new service as trite, trivial, trendy -- or even detrimental to society. In this workshop we will explore the origin and nature of the beast as well as the hype and controversy surrounding it. We'll learn how to use Twitter and discuss possible pedagogical applications. Bring a cellphone if you have one.
