The Classroom as Practice
By applying the science of learning to the classroom in a nonthreatening way, we can help students identify their individual strengths and areas of concern. We can consider this as an example of academic practice. In this session, we will discuss how to utilize “practice” that provides formative feedback as a means to develop skills that will improve student learning in an effort to maximize the effectiveness of classroom time and create an engaging learning environment. Participants will leave with practical, hands-on strategies they can apply to their classrooms, regardless of discipline.
