Alternatives to Lectures

NYJC Lecture Theatre No.4

As we continue to adapt to the new normal this year, many faculty are finding their traditional lecturing to be more of a challenge for both them and their students. Whether in a fully remote class or in a mixed mode class, mixed mode class, students have even more distractions now than they did just a year ago.

This workshop will offer a number of specific research-based pedagogical methods you can use in your classes to take a break from the traditional lecture. As we move into the final six weeks of the fall semester, consider trying one alternative to see for yourself how you and the students react.
