Mentoring Portfolio - Creating a Comprehensive Reflection of the Practice of Mentoring

If one were to conduct a Google search for the term “mentoring portfolio (MP),” one would receive results that reflect a variety of ideas about what it is and approaches to developing one. In this context, the MP is a “tool used to articulate, reflect upon, and provide evidence of a mentor’s beliefs, values, ethical principles, practices and approaches to thier mentoring relationships. It is intended to be a carefully assembled collection of evidence integrated with thoughtful reflection that provides a comprehensive representation of the creator’s mentoring experience. Developing and maintaining an MP can serve the creator in many areas, both career and personal. In this workshop, participants will be introduced to a different idea of what a mentoring portfolio is and how to develop their own.
