Service-Learning Center Directors Roundtable

The New Orleans community needs you! At this presentation you will hear from four organizations doing wonderful work. The session will provide information regarding these, and other, organizations and how faculty and students can work toward fulfilling Xavier’s mission through service learning.

Families and Friends of Louisiana’s Incarcerated Children (https://www.fflic.org): Families and Friends of Louisiana’s Incarcerated Children (FFLIC) is a grassroots, state-wide, membership-based, inter-generational organization working to transform the systems that put children at risk of prison.

Lift Louisiana (https://liftlouisiana.org): Lift Louisiana’s mission is to educate, advocate, and litigate for policy changes needed to improve the health and wellbeing of Louisiana's women, their families, and their communities.

Operation Restoration (https://www.or-nola.org): Operation Restoration’s (OR) mission is to support women and girls impacted by incarceration to recognize their full potential, restore their lives, and discover new possibilities.

Urban League of Louisiana (https://urbanleaguela.org): Mission of focusing programs to ensure quality education and access to information, employment, entrepreneurial and economic inclusion opportunities, and shared dignity under the law.
