His lessons learned are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Teaching online is tough work.<\/li>\n<li>It\u2019s easy for online students to disengage, self-isolate and fall off track.<\/li>\n<li>Social and emotional issues are as important as course content.<\/li>\n<li>Coverage and pacing pose a big challenge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Steven goes on to list eight ethical issues around online learning that will persist after the pandemic.
