The Continuous Delivery model gives us regular monthly updates allowing for incremental and easily integrated changes with no downtime required for our Brightspace system.<\/p>\n<p>Our Continuous Delivery update occurs on the 4th Thursday of each month. D2L provides <a href=\"https:\/\/community.brightspace.com\/s\/article\/All-Release-Notes\">release notes<\/a> to help users stay up-to-date with the changes.<\/p>\n<p>Here are a few updates in the October 2021\/20.21.10 release that were added to our system this month:<\/p>\n<div>\n<h4>1) Brightspace Editor \u2013 Drag\/drop and copy\/paste images<\/h4>\n<p>This feature complements the Brightspace Editor functionality as released in the <a href=\"https:\/\/community.brightspace.com\/s\/article\/000016151\">Brightspace Editor \u2013 Improvements | Updated<\/a> feature released in May 2021 \/ 20.21.5.<\/p>\n<p>The drag\/drop and copy\/paste functionality of images is now available in the following areas that contain no user-specific data.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Content Module\/Topic Descriptions<\/li>\n<li>Quiz\/Survey\/Self-Assessment - Description, Header. Footer<\/li>\n<li>Grades - Description<\/li>\n<li>Content Course Overview descriptions<\/li>\n<li>Discussion Forum\/Topic descriptions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> Similar to current functionality, image files added to these areas are saved in the root of the <strong>Manage Files<\/strong> area of the organization unit the user is currently in.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h4>2) Brightspace Editor \u2013 Email notifications for users tagged in discussion posts and threads<\/h4>\n<p>This feature updates the <a href=\"https:\/\/community.brightspace.com\/s\/article\/000016339\">Brightspace Editor \u2013 Additional functionality | Updated<\/a> feature released in June 2021 \/ 20.21.6 and now adds the ability for users tagged in discussion posts and threads to receive email notifications.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h4>3) Brightspace Pulse \u2013 Operating system support<\/h4>\n<p>The latest version of Brightspace Pulse is supported on devices with iOS\u00ae 12+ or AndroidTM 6.0+ (2015 release). Older versions of Brightspace Pulse will continue to work on devices with iOS 11 or Android 5.0, but will not receive any app updates. For an optimal experience, D2L recommends installing the latest version of Brightspace Pulse on devices with iOS 12+ or Android 6.0+.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h4>4) Content - Add Print Button to PDF file types<\/h4>\n<p>This feature adds the option to print PDF file types to Classic Content.<\/p>\n<p>The Print button is visible when viewing a PDF topic or the Course Overview as a PDF. This button will also only appear for users with Compile and Print Content permission.<\/p>\n<p>No option to print PDFs was previously available.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_17656\"
