D2L (the company that owns Brightspace) has announced an end-of-life for the Self Assessments tool. Self Assessments is a formative assessment tool that enables instructors to provide learners with a series of questions and immediate feedback for responses.<\/p>\n

\"Road<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<\/p>\n

The Self Assessment tool is a legacy tool with a limited set of features and functionalities. D2L has determined that the Self Assessments tool has a very low usage rate and has announced an end-of-life for the tool. The Self Assessments tool will no longer be available after May 2027<\/strong>. You can continue using it until then, but we recommend that you begin migrating your self assessments to Quizzes before that date.<\/p>\n

The Quizzes tool has similar functionality to the Self Assessments tool. Instructors can set up a Quiz without a link to the Grade Book and not show any point values when learners take the Quiz.
