As you're choosing to add new content or perhaps provide some links to Open Educational Resources, check out the educational resource site for the <a title=\"illinois online network\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ion.uillinois.edu\/resources\/\" target=\"_blank\">Illinois Online Network<\/a> (ION).\u00a0 The site is easy to use and is chock full of a variety of information.\u00a0 Click on the Online Teaching Activity Index to find dozens of mini-lessons on such topics as <a title=\"brainstorming\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ion.uillinois.edu\/resources\/otai\/Brainstorming.asp\" target=\"_blank\">brainstorming<\/a> and <a title=\"scavenger hunt\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ion.uillinois.edu\/resources\/otai\/ScavengerHunt.asp\" target=\"_blank\">scavenger hunts<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-6872 aligncenter\" title=\"Picture1\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/cat.xula.edu\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/Picture15.png?resize=514%2C442\" alt=\"Picture1\" width=\"514\" height=\"442\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Pointers and Clickers, Podcasts and Case Studies tabs are restricted to ION members only.\u00a0 However, there is a section of <a title=\"blogs\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ion.uillinois.edu\/weblogs\/summary.asp\" target=\"_blank\">posted blogs<\/a> on current education topics. Perhaps most useful is the section on <a title=\"articles and tutorials\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ion.uillinois.edu\/resources\/tutorials\/\" target=\"_blank\">Articles and Tutorials<\/a>.\u00a0 This area is further subdivided into such categories as <a title=\"Assessment\/Evaluation\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ion.uillinois.edu\/resources\/tutorials\/assessment\/index.asp\" target=\"_blank\">Assessment\/Evaluation<\/a>, <a title=\"Instructional Design\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ion.uillinois.edu\/resources\/tutorials\/id\/index.asp\" target=\"_blank\">Instructional Design<\/a> and <a title=\"Intellectual Property\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ion.uillinois.edu\/resources\/tutorials\/ip\/index.asp\" target=\"_blank\">Intellectual Property<\/a>.\u00a0 The latter is a great resource if you're not sure whether or not you can use a photo or video clip that you'd like to include in a lesson.\u00a0 It also outlines your rights to your course content should others wish to use it.\u00a0 So check out the <a title=\"illinois online network\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ion.uillinois.edu\/resources\/\" target=\"_blank\">ION site<\/a> and give us some feedback on what you've found.\u00a0 Please also share any other resources you have found useful when creating your course content.\u00a0 Wishing everyone a happy and productive summer!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>by Karen Nichols Summer is a great time to build a course for the upcoming school year or to make updates to an already existing one.
