How the Gospels Came to Be Written

The four gospels that we have today were written over a period of time. Jesus himself probably died around 27-30 C.E. The first gospel that was written was probably Mark's gospel, around 67-70 C.E. Now if you open any Bible, you will find Matthew, then Mark, then Luke, and finally John. However, the order in which these gospels were bound in a book is not necessarily the chronological order in which they were written.#
