Jesus did not stay in Nazareth very long. Luke 4:16-30 tells of the events of Jesus's rejection at Nazareth. On the Sabbath, Jesus went to the synagogue, read from Isaiah (61:1-2), and preached on this passage. Those in the synagogue rejected him (Matthew 13:58) and Luke even has the local townspeople attempting to kill him.
Luke 4:28-30 "When the people in the synagogue heard this, they were filled with anger. They rose up, dragged Jesus out of town, and took him to the top of the hill on which their town was built. They meant to throw him over the cliff...."
Comment: Luke's description of the attempted killing of Jesus in Nazareth may not be a historical fact (especially since only Luke records this), but it may be a literary way of expressing the rejection by Jesus's own townspeople.
