Introduction to Psychology Online: An Opportunity to Teach, An Opportunity to Learn

Recently Xavier's administration charged the Center for the Advancement of Teaching (CAT) with supporting faculty who are teaching online or blended courses. As a CAT staff we begin to do a lot of reading on the topic. However, I felt like I needed to "get in the trenches" and actually teach an online course to take my understanding to the next level. So, to advance my own professional development, I am teaching Introduction to Psychology (PSYC 1010) fully online in Summer Session 2. I still have many decisions to make about the course design, and I look forward to working with and learning from my FaCTS colleagues.
