"Style" is a literary term referring to the author's manner of writing and conveying ideas.  Style suggests the author's voice and individual use of language.  It is the organization of thoughts into phrases and statements reflecting the author's unique mode of writing.

Styles of writing are often analyzed and assigned descriptive terms such as expressive, technical, ornate, or abstract, to name few.
