Research on Imagery

Imagery has been a rich area of research for cognitive psychologists. Studies in this area have used a number of clever dependent variables, such as reaction time, to measure people's abilities to manipulate objects in their mind. In these demos, your reaction time will be assessed in various tasks. As you work with these demos, notice how skilled — and limited! — you are in working with mental images.
