Jan Hus summoned to appear at the Council of Constance. |
Called by John XXIII, the successor to Pisan pope Alevander V to deal with heresy and schism. Jan Hus was condemned and executed in July of 1415 and Martin V was elected as pope, thus ending the schism that lasted thirty-nine years.
