Color Modes

A color mode, or color space, is not a file format.
It's just a way of describing a digital image.

These are some of the color modes
that are most relevant to imaging for the Web.

Bitmap Grayscale
Monochrome:
Color:
Indexed RGB CMYK

If that last image looks a little funky to you,
don't worry. It's supposed to. And by the time
you finish this tutorial, you'll understand why.
