Another Technology Enhanced Curriculum Project
Distance Learning: New Directions in Teaching and Learning at Xavier
by Dr. Andrea Edwards
Staff from Xavier University's Library and Center for the Advancement of Teaching, and two faculty members from the Business and Computer Sciences and Computer Engineering Departments, are collaborating on this distance learning project.
In this project, we will assess faculty and student teaching and learning issues that are associated with two distance education courses.
UPDATE: Wednesday, November 3, 2004
Participants in this project have scaled down to one faculty member. One course was taught online in Summer 2004 by Dr. Edwards. Activities this semester include completing data analysis and reflections on activities from the summer while teaching a "hybrid" course this fall. The "hybrid" course meets face-to-face once a week. The summer distance course did not meet face-to-face.
