Interdisciplinary Curriculum Developmentinthe First-Year Experience Program

Each year, the Dillard University faculty identifies a common theme that will be incorporated into specific General Education courses affiliated with the institution's Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP). By selecting a common them, each faculty member is charged with creating an assisgnment that will stimulate students to implore critical thinking and effective communication skills to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the selected topic. since the students in the First-Year Experience Program are enrolled in multiple General Education courses that participate inthe QEP assignments, developing an integrated assignment that allowed students to incorporate multiple academic perspeives would be an enriching academic experience.
