Gender/Women's Studies Program
At home at Xavier University?
Dr. Elizabeth Rousselle (Languages) and four students -- César Briceño (Spanish major) Gavin Lewis (Sociology major), Maricel Martinez (Spanish major), and Byron Williams (History major) -- have been studying the history, sociology, and literature of Spanish women from 711-1700 as part of the Bush-Hewlett "Communities Initiative."
This Research Community will lead a discussion on the viability of gender studies programs and their implementation at various universities across the country.
Faculty and students are invited to join this discussion of the place of a gender studies program at Xavier.
