Follow-up to Kevin Barry
Which Teaching Strategies and Technologies Have Worked for Me?

At last January's Faculty Institute, CAT was fortunate to host two teaching and technology workshops led by Dr. Kevin Barry of Notre Dame University. Dr. Barry presented an array of strategies and techniques, challenging all participants to re-think much of what we do to ensure that our course design and class activities maximize student involvement and learning.

In this workshop, a panel of instructors who attended one or more of Dr. Barry's presentations will reflect on how their teaching has improved as they have implemented changes.

  • Led by: Dr. David Lanoue (English and CAT), Dr. Howard Mielke (Pharmacy), and Dr. Paul Schafer (Philosophy)
  • Date: Thursday, October 21, 2004
  • Time: 12:15 - 1:05 PM
  • Location: Library 502
  • Sponsor: CAT

Note: All faculty are encouraged to attend, with a special invitation to those who participated in Dr. Barry's workshops.
