The Role and Future of Communication Studies at Xavier University
Are We Meeting the Needs of Our Students?

A Research Community of four Speech Communication faculty and four undergraduates take a critical look at the role of the Communication Studies discipline at Xavier University, HBCUs, and within the workplace. This forum connects the discipline to a wide range of topics that pertain to faculty from other academic programs at Xavier, students who are considering post-graduation plans, and administrators who are examining the University's current curriculum offerings. The forum will also report the results of a campus-wide survey that assessed student and faculty perceptions of communication and academic programs at Xavier.

Presenters: Dr. Dominique Gendrin, Dr. Melissa Sparks, and Dr. Stephanie Thomson (Communications) and students: Ms. LaKeshia Entzminger (Biology/Pre-Med), Ms. LaKeta Entzminger (Biology/Pre-Med), Ms. Angel Bradford (Communications), and Ms. Robyn Peebles (Communications).
