A Goal Without a Plan is a Wish: Aligning Goals and Expectations using an Individual Development Plan (IDP)

IDPs provide a planning process that identifies both professional development needs and career objectives for the mentee. It can serve as a tool to help facilitate communication between mentees and their mentors. IDP's are also a product. It is a written document that should be updated regularly. In this session, we will focus on what is an IDP and and how to use it to help promote alignment around career goals and expectations between mentors and mentees.
