Meet Your Village: Who Do You Need in Your Mentoring Network?

Being mentored does not have to be a 'one stop mentoring shop'. As this mentoring article highlights, our different mentoring needs are more easily accommodated with different people who each have unique perspectives.

For this mentoring network session (our last for the semester) we are following up on our previous session where we designed our own personal vision statement and will continue to conceptualize and organize all the different areas we need mentors. The

question guiding our discussion will be: Who do you need in your mentoring network to help you fulfill your personal vision?

These different mentoring areas could include intellectual community, role models, emotional support, safe spaces etc.

Although this session does not need a personal vision statement, if you would like, you can view the slides from Bart Everson's Developing a Personal Vision Statement workshop.

We will get you started with a general mentoring map and have you adapt it to fit your own personal mentoring needs.

Lunch will be provided.
