QEP: Strategies for Fostering Active Reading

Two reading strategies will be presented to the group: possible sentences for the development of vocabulary and question and answer relationships for the development of comprehension. Each strategy will be described and appropriate examples will be given to show the connection between strategy and content.

Participants are asked to bring to the session a text passage that they use in one of their classes. They will utilize the two reading strategies to prepare an instructional plan for use with students.
