Newsletter Table of Contents | CAT home School NewsTowana Pierre, a recent graduate of McDonogh 35, and a freshman at Howard University, spent some time this summer in the Center working on the New Orleans Unmasked website. The design of the website was completed last summer in a collaborative process with other Students at the Center. (Their design document for New Orleans UnMasked is available on-line.) Towana has created the shell website, so that others, Gabrielle and Erika, can continue the work while she is away at college. St. Monica's Elementary school faculty came to Xavier University as part a Back-to-School staff development activity. This small school, which has a historical affiliation with the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament, has a Principal who is a recent B.A. and M.A. graduate of Xavier, Mrs. Ross (pictured above, right) and her staff of twelve teachers learned basics in Hyperstudio, multimedia authoring software, and searched the Web for lesson plans to use when the school year begins. |
