CMST 3030 Race, Culture and Communication
by Dr. Elizabeth C Edgecomb
CMST 3030 Race, Culture and Communication is a new course in the Communication Studies Curriculum. CMST 303 is an introduction to the study of rhetorical theories and practices across cultures. The primary purpose of this course is to study how the interconnections of race and culture shape communication as well as influence contemporary social issues. Although open an frank discussion of interracial relationships and communication can be unsettling, we will work together to provide a safe and open forum where ideas can be articulated, discussed, and critiqued.
