Getting Started with Service-Learning

This workshop is designed to help faculty members who are considering service-learning in their courses for the first time. We will discuss service-learning definitions, its benefits as a teaching strategy, the implementation process at Xavier, and recent service-learning experiences of Xavier faculty and students. A significant amount of time will be reserved for questions and discussion, so come with possible courses, projects, or community sites you'd like to consider for service-learning.
