Blackboard versus the World
Using Wikis, Blogs, Journals, and Discussion Boards to Engage Students
What are wikis, blogs, journals, and discussion boards? Why use them in class? How do these tools used inside Blackboard differ from those available on the Internet?
Each of these tools have great potential for engaging students. This workshop aims to identify similarities and differences between wikis, blogs, journals, and discussion boards; identify potential uses of each; expand awareness and understanding of what each can do.
