Defining Social Justice through Service

DUE TO THE TIMING OF THE CAMPUS VISIT BY THE FIRST CANDIDATE FOR A&S DEAN, WE HAVE CHANGED THE TIME OF THIS WORKSHOP. THE WORKSHOP WILL BEGIN AT 2:00 END AT 2:50.

As Xavier's core curriculum is redesigned, its core mission of social justice remains the same. Two new categories of core courses in particular, XCOR 1011 and 1012, the Xavier Experience, and the New Orleans Experience, seek to examine the mission in relation to community. This workshop will explore how the outcomes these courses can be achieved through service-learning, and in some cases, only through service-learning.
