CCE: Writing to Learn, Writing for Transfer

Last year, faculty from across campus participated in a number of workshops to learn more about the pedogogy of Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC). While some focused on the ideas of Writing to Learn (WTL), others focused on Writing in the Disciplines (WID). Regardless the focus, they all learned about new ways to help their students strengthen their writing skills, even in content-heavy classes.

In this session, Dr. Jason Todd will discuss the benefits and the challenges of using Writing-to-Learn assignments, while Dr. Bonnie Noonan will discuss the benefits and challenges of teaching Writing for Transfer.
