Making the Grade: Using the Grades and Rubrics Tools in Brightspace

Brightspace @ XULA logo

Are students constantly calling or emailing you to find out what their grades are? Would you like to be able to post students grades while complying with FERPA (Family Education Rights & Privacy Act)? Learn how to use the Brightspace Grades Tool to post your students grades online. This workshop will also cover how to use the interactive Rubrics Tool to assess your student's work.

You will be able to use one of the computers in our computer lab for the training. However, feel free to bring your own laptop, tablet, and/or smart phone so you can explore and build content in the Brightspace environment!

Fill out this form to request a Brightspace Sandbox course to use for the training.

Prerequisites: This workshop assumes that you are familiar with navigating in the Brightspace Learning Environment. If you would like to attend this workshop and you DID NOT attend one of the Introduction to Brightspace workshops OR you ARE NOT familiar with navigating in Brightspace, you should review Brightspace Tip #5: Introduction to Brightspace Training Recap before this workshop to ensure you will be able to keep up with the material that will be covered.
