Getting Your Students Published
An Informational Session on XULAneXUS

XULAneXUS is an online undergraduate research journal that publishes the outstanding scholarship of Xavier's students. The journal is being re-designed in Fall 2007 to encourage a wider range of scholarship from all of Xavier's academic departments. This informational session will introduce faculty to XULAneXUS' revised publication and editorial process.

The session is for faculty with past experience in mentoring student scholarship, new faculty interested in getting started with mentoring, and faculty interested in connections between mentoring and tenure/promotion review.

∙ Learn teaching strategies for mentoring student scholarship in your classroom, from course assignments to conference presentations and journal publication.

∙ Discover how mentoring student research can improve your tenure and promotion portfolio.

∙ Get to know the XULAneXUS submission and editorial guidelines so that you can encourage your students to submit their scholarship.
