Undergraduate Scholarship as an Engaging Teaching Tool: Spotlight on Festival of Scholars and XULAneXUS
Undergraduate research can provide the ultimate experiential or active learning experience for students. It gives them hands-on experience in our disciplines the way no other activity can. In this session we will explore the ways Xavier Uniersity facilitates this pedagogical approach. Specifically, we will discuss our up-coming Festival of Scholars and XULAneXUS, an online undergraduate research journal that publishes the outstanding scholarship of Xavier's students.
The session is for faculty with past experience in mentoring student scholarship as well as those interested in getting started with mentoring.
