Strategic Planning & Implementation
Overview
The Center for the Advancement of Teaching (CAT) began a strategic planning process in the fall of 2003. In June 2005, the strategic plan was distributed for review and comment; following Hurricane Katrina, a revised plan was published in March 2006. In August 2010, CAT staff revised the plan again, focusing mainly on the timeline of objectives. In July 2013, CAT staff participated in a strategic planning retreat, substantially revising the plan to better address the current needs of the University and build on the strengths and expertise of staff members. It is our hope that the current goals will direct the work of CAT for the next three years. It is our intention to engage a faculty committee in our next strategic planning process in Fall 2016.
